May Meeting - Foam Systems Overview and Alternative Approaches
Summary:
The Viking Corporation and FireFlex Systems Inc., global leaders in Fire Protection Systems and Products, are pleased to present a foam system seminar with a focus on alternative approaches available to the fire protection practitioner to increase flexibility in design and installation. The presentation will discuss issues surrounding High-Expansion Foam Systems and outline how alternative methods such as Grate Nozzle and Compressed Air Foam Systems (CAFS) can address some of the challenges posed by Conventional Foam-Water and High-Expansion Foam.
The presentation will highlight specific case studies on CAFS for applications such as helicopter landing pads, power transformers and aircraft hangars to demonstrate how CAFS can be used as an alternative cost-effective solution when facing inadequate water supplies, drainage, containment and/or environmental issues.
A brief segment on FireCycle III Multicycle Sprinkler Systems will also be discussed.
