Emergency Responder Radio Coverage [Enhancement] Systems
Presenter: Allen Dixon, - Zinwave
Over a 30-year career in the telecommunications industry, Allen Dixon has held numerous positions including field engineering, product line management, marketing, and market development. He is currently Senior Director, Marketing and Partner Programs for Zinwave, working to expand the Zinwave brand and develop partnerships in the Enterprise space.
A vocal proponent of the role of standards in industry, Allen is the co-founder and past chair of the HetNet Forum – a membership body within WIA – the Wireless Infrastructure Association -- and a veteran of the ATM Forum, TIA, and IEEE standards organizations.
Allen is a 1985 graduate of the University of Florida.

Seismic Overview - NFPA 13 - 2016
The presentation will provide an overview of seismic requirements in the 2016 /edition of NFPA 13. The presentation will cover the six elements of seismic protections for water based extinguishing systems. The presentation will show different type of sway bracing on the market and available software to assist designers.
Presenter: Ralph Foster, P.E., - Foster Engineering & Consulting
Ralph Foster is a Fire Protection Engineer licensed in multiple states. He earned his degree in Mechanical Engineering for the University of South Carolina and holds several NFPA certifications. He worked for the SC State Fire Marshal's Office for 19 years before opening Foster Engineering & Consulting. He is a member of SFPE, NFPA, ICC, and AFSA. He is active in the CSRA Chapter of the SFPE, the SC Fire Sprinkler Contractors Association, and the SC Fire Marshals Association. He retired from the SC Army National Guard after 28 years of service. He is an Assistant Scoutmaster with Troop 10, and resides in Columbia with his family.

Ditek Surge Protection
Overview of surge protection. Including IBC codes for antenna protection on DAS, NFPA72 22.214.171.124 in 2013, NFPA 70 and requirements for surge protection on emergency generators that provide power to life safety. Review of new available AC protection devices. Overview of how different surge protection devices for fire alarms work and how they behave. Also including case studies on situations preventable with appropriate surge protection design.
