Presentation:   Ignitable Liquid Drainage Floor Assemblies

Overview

Safespill Systems will be discussing the following: industry problems with liquid pool fires; how ignitable liquid drainage floor assemblies function (with fire test videos); the FM Global Approval process; IBC Storage Units; and future solutions.

Presenters

Sam Bowen, Director of Business Development, graduated from the University of Mississippi in 2006 with a Bachelor’s degree.  Sam has a background in risk management where he focused on building Property & Casualty insurance programs, and mitigating risk “on site” with his clients. Sam joined Safespill Systems as the Director of Business Development in August of 2015. His role in the company is to grow our business into focused industries with considerable pool fire exposures.

Chad Becht, Project Engineer, completed his B.S. in Mechanical Engineering at Louisiana State University. Chad joined Safespill Systems in April 2016 as a Project Engineer focusing on the FM Approval process.  Chad helped finalize the Safespill’s Medium Flow Floor design and prepare for FM approval process by developing controls system, detection method, seal designs and pump arrangements. He worked closely with FM Global Research Engineers at FM’s Test Facility in Rhode Island to develop fire and water testing methods.
