While fire sprinklers can be used to address a wide range of design challenges some sprinklers are particularly special because they are designed for the protection of very specific hazards or construction features.  Understanding and correctly applying special sprinklers can save on costs and provide more efficient fire protection. This seminar provides an overview of special sprinklers, the different fire protection challenges that led to their development and the specific designs they use to meet those challenges.

Meeting Invite will be via Microsoft Teams and will be provided to all Registrants upon accepting the invite as the date approaches.

Learning Outcomes: At the conclusion of this module the participant will be able to:

  • 1.     Describe the various types of special sprinklers.
  • 2.     Identify special sprinkler applications.
  • 3.     Explain the requirements for testing and listing special sprinklers.
  • 4.     Discuss the advantages of special sprinklers.
