James Pecz: Vice President – North America
James Pecz has over 20 years of experience across the construction and fire safety industries. He began his career in the United Kingdom working for one of the country’s largest general contractors, initially serving as a Site Superintendent before moving into a Fire Safety Manager role, where he was responsible for ensuring construction sites remained safe and compliant across the UK.
It was during this time that James developed a strong passion for fire safety—one that ultimately led him to join Ramtech, a global leader in temporary fire protection systems. During his tenure at Ramtech, James has played a key role in driving the adoption of technology-led fire safety solutions to make construction sites safer worldwide.
James has held leadership responsibilities across multiple international regions, including the United Kingdom, Australia, and the Middle East, before spearheading Ramtech’s expansion into North America, where he currently leads the company’s operations as Vice President.
Throughout his career, James has also been closely involved in advancing industry standards for temporary fire protection. He has contributed to the adoption and standardization of systems through initiatives with the Joint Code of Practice (JCOP) in the UK, Dubai Civil Defence, and more recently as part of an NFPA task group reviewing future revisions to NFPA 241 and NFPA 72 relating to temporary fire protection during construction.
Luis Suarez, Business Development Manager
With nearly a decade of experience at the intersection of life safety and structural integrity, Luis Suarez has built a career on solving the "impossible" gaps in fire protection. From his time as a Fire Systems Integrity Representative at Johnson Controls to leading Low-Voltage Solutions at Siemens, Luis has managed the technical lifecycle of complex fire systems for some of the most demanding environments in North America.
Now leading Strategic Partnerships at Ramtech, Luis focuses on the high-risk "Protection Gap" inherent in modern construction. His expertise lies in displacing unreliable, manual firewatch models with supervised, wireless mesh architectures that meet the rigorous standards of today’s insurance underwriters and fire protection engineers. Luis doesn't just advocate for new technology; he builds the frameworks that ensure life safety is active from day one, not just after the final inspection.
